Farm-Based Learning
At Bethlehem Akademie, we believe in hands-on, immersive learning experiences that connect students with the natural world. In this way we fulfill the life skills of the CAPS curriculum with trained facilitators and teachers in a practical manner and in a hands-on way.
GROWING FOOD
Experience the journey from seed to table at Bethlehem Akademie. Our students get their hands dirty in our organic gardens, where they learn sustainable farming practices, crop rotation, and soil health management. They plant, tend, and harvest a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, gaining invaluable knowledge about nutrition and food production. From farm to fork, our growing food program promotes healthy eating habits and environmental awareness.
Farm Animals
Meet the residents of our school farm! Our students care for a variety of farm animals, including chickens, sheep, and perhaps even a friendly cow or two. Through daily chores and interactions, students learn about animal husbandry, nutrition, and the importance of ethical treatment of livestock. BEEKEEPING
